AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, BY CHANGING THE
ZONING OF PART OF I,OT 3 AND LOT 2 OF ZAPH'S SECOND SUB-
DIVISION IN THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MZSSOURI, AS SHOWN
BY PLAT RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK TWO (2� AT PAGE EIGHTEEN (18)

WHEREA5, the City Planning and Zon%ng Comm:ission
has recommended that all of tfi.e property descri.bed in
Section 1 of this ordinance sh.ould be rezoned from R-2
Single-Family Dwelling District to R-4 Multiple D�relli.ng
District, and
WHEREAS, Public notice of such change was given
as pres_cribed in Chapter 30 of the Code o� Ordinances of
the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and public hearing
was held on Wednesday, May 6, 1970, and
WHEREAS, th.e Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri has elected to rezone the property descri.bed i.n
Section 1 from R-2 Single-Family Dv�relling District to R-4
Multiple DHrelling District, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CZTY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, P,S FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, .is hereby amended
to change the boundary of the present R-4 Multiple Dwelling
District, so as to include the following described property:
The North Ninety (90) feet of Lot Three (3)
and the North Ninety (90) feet of the West Ten (1Q)
feet of Lot '�nro (2) of Zapf's Second Subdivision
in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, as. shown
by plat recorded in Plat Book THro (2� at Page
Eighteen (18)
SECTION 2. The City Counci,l I�.ereby finds and
declares that the property described in Section 1 hereof
is at the present time particularly suitable for the uses

and purposes of R-4 Multiple Dwelling Di�trict, and that
suc� changes authorized hereby are reasonable and in
reasonable conformity with the existing u�e� and value of
the immediately �urrounding properties.
SECTION 3. This ordinance s�all be in full force
and effect ten days after its passage and approval.
