AN ORDINANCE AN�ENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, BY CHANGING THE ZONING
OF PART OF SURVEY 21.98, TOWNSHIP 31 NORTH, RANGE 13 EAST IN THE
COUNTY OF CA,PE GIR.ARDEAU, MISSOURI FROM R-1 TO R-4.

WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended that all of the property described in 5ection 1
of this ordinance should be rezoned from R-1 Si,ngle-Family
Dwelling District to R-4 Multiple Dwelling District, and
WHEREAS, Public notice of such change was given as
prescribed in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and public hearing was held
on Thursday, March 19 , 1970, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri has elected to rezone the property described in
Section 1 from R-1 Si,ngle-Family Dwelling Di,strict to R-4
Multiple D�relling District, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MTS50URI, AS FOLLOWS:
, SECTION 1. Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby amended to
change the boundary of the present R-4 Multiple Dwelling District,
so as to include the following described property:
A parcel of land containing 0. 555 of an acre,
more or less, located in Survey 2198, Township 31
North, Range 13 East, described as follows: Start at
the southwest corner of the South.west Quarter of the
5outheast Quarter of Section 24, if the quarter section
line were exterided into Survey 2198: thence South
89 degrees, 35 feet East, along the �outY�. line of
5ection 24, 334. 0 feet to the southwest corner of
the Meyers ' property; thence North 0 degrees 2Q feet
West 231.0 feet for the point of beginning; thence
continue North 0 degrees 20 feet West 90. 4 feet for
a corner; thence South 89 degrees 35 feet East
' 246. 6 feet for a 'corner in the west line of the Perryvi.11e
Road; Thence 5outh 24 degrees 52 feet East a].ong said

degrees 35 feet West 288. 2 feet to the point of beginning,

SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and declares
that the property descriI�ed in �ection 1 hereof is at the present
t�me particularly suitable for the uses and purposes of R-4
Multiple D�relling Di�trict, and that such change� authorized
hereby are reasonable and in reasonable conformity with the
exist�ng u�es and value of the immediately surrounding properties .
SECTION 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten days after i,ts passage and approval.
