AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTE.R 3Q .OF THE: CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, BY. CHANG�NG THE
ZONING OF ALL OF LOTS 5 AND 6, BLOCK 3, PATTENGILL PLACE
ADDITION FROM R-2 TO C-1

WHEREAS, th.e City Planning and Zoning Commission
has recommended that all of the property described in
Section 1. of this ordinance shauld be rezoned from R-2
S�.ngle-Family Dwelling District to C-1 Local Commercial
District, and
WHEREAS, Public notice of such change was given
as prescribed in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and public hearing
Hras h.eld in conformi.ty �rith such notice on Wednesday,
January 21., 1970, and
WHEREAS , the Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Mi�sauri has elected to rezone the property described in
Section 1 from R-2 Single-Family Dw�lling District to C-1.
Local Commercial District, NOW, TIiEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF C.APE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Cape Girardeau, .�tissouri, is hereby amended to
change the boundary of the present C-1 Local Commercial
District, so as. to include the follo�ring described property:
All of Lots 5 and 6, Block 3, Pattengill
Place Addition.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and
declares that the property described in Section 1 hereof
is at tIz:e present time particularly suitabTe for the uses
and purposes of C-1 Local Commercial District, and that
such changes authorized hereby are reasanabTe and in reasonable

conformity �nritTi the existing uses and value of the

5ECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force
