AN O.RDINANCE AMENDING CH.APTER 30 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART
OF OUT LOT EIGHTY (80) , U. S . PRIVATE SURVEY N0. 2I99 , CITY AND
COUNTY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, STATE OF MISSOURI, FROM R-1 TO C-2
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended that all the property described in 5ection 1 of this
ordinance should be: rezoned from R-1 Single-Family Dwelling District
to C-2 General Commercial District; and,
WHEREA5, Public Notice of such change was given as prescribed
in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, and public hearing was held on Wednesday, November 7, 1973;
and,
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
has elected to rezone the property described in 5ection 1 from R-1
Single-Family Dwelling DistriCt to C-2 General Commercial District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ch�:pter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby amended to change the boundary
of the present C-2 General Commercial District so as to include the
following described property:
A tract of land situate in the Northwest Quartex of
Out Lot Eighty (80) of U.S.P. Survey No. 2199 , in the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri , described as follows:
From the southeast corner of said Northwest Quarter
of Out Lot $0 measure North 8° East 81. 8 feet to a point;
thence North 82° West 30 feet to a point, which is on
the west right of way line of the Cape Rock Drive;
thence North 8° East 125 .9 feet to the beginning corner;
thence North 82° West 102 feet to a point; thence North
8° East 50 feet to a point; thence South 82° East 102
feet to a point on the west right of way line of Cape Rock
Drive; thence South 8° West 50 feet along the west right
of way line of Cape Rock Drive to the beginning corner.
5ECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and declares that
the property described in Section 1 hereof is at the present time
particularly suitable for the purposes and uses of C-2 General
Commercial District, and that such changes authorized hereby are
reasonable and in reasonable conformity with the existing uses and
value of the immediately surrounding properties.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten days after its passage and approval.
