AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTIirTG A GENERAL WARRA.NTY DEED FROM J. WILLARD
PROFFER AND WILLA L. PROFFER FOR PART OF LOT 34 IN RANGE "B" ,
CITY AND COUNTY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, STATE OF MISSOURI, AND
AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF A SUM OF MONEY FOR REAL ESTATE, FOR
THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING A NEW POLICE 5TATION FACILITY
WHEREAS, the City of Cape Girardeau desires to construct
a new police station facility in the City of Cape Girardeau; and,
WHEREAS, J . Willard Proffer and Willa L. Proffer, his wife,
are the owners of certain real estate which the City of Cape
Girardeau desires to purchase for a new police station facility
site; and,
WHEREA5, J. Willard Proffer and Willa L. Proffer, his wife,
have executed a General Warranty Deed conveying to the City of
Cape Girardeau certain real estate , as more fully described
hereinafter in this ordinance, and the City desires to accept such
deed and have the same recorded;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MI5SOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l. The City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, hereby
accepts a General Warranty Deed executed by J. Willard Proffer
and Willa L. Proffer, his wife, conveying to the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri, the following described real estate located
in the City and County of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to-wit:
All of the South Fifty (50) feet of the North
Eighty (80) feet of Lot Thirty-Four (34) in Range B
in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
5ECTION 2. It is hereby ordered by the Council of the
City of Cape Girardeau that said deed be recorded by the City
Clerk in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cape Girardeau
County, Missouri .
SECTION 3. Payment of the sum of Seventeen Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($17,500. 00) is hereby authorized to be made by
the City of Cape Girardeau to J. Willard Proffer and Willa L.
Proffer, his wife, for the property described in Section 1 of
this Ordinance.

SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten days after its passage and approval.
