AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MI550URI, BY CHA.NGING THE ZONING
OF ALL OF LOT 4, BLOCK 7, OF SECOND 5UN5ET ADDITION, CITY AND
COUNTY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, STATE OF MI550URI, FROM R-2 TO C-1
4VHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended that all the property described in Section 1 of this
Ordinance should be rezoned from R-2 Single-Family Dwelling District
to C-1 Local Commercial District; and
WHEREAS, Public Notice of such change was given as
prescribed in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and public hearing was held on Wednesday,
March 21, 1973; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
has elected to rezone the property described in 5ection 1 from
R-2 5ingle-Family Dwelling District to C-1 Local Commercial District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF C.APE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, A5 FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby amended to change the
boundary of the present C-1 Local Commercial District so as to
include the following described property:
All of Lot Four (4) in B lock Seven (7) of
Second Sunset Addition to the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri, as shown by plat recorded
in Plat Book 5 at Page 3.
5ECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and declares that
the property described in Section 1 hereof is at the present time
particularly suitable for the purposes and uses of C-1 Local
Commercial District, and that such changes authorized hereby are
reasonable and in reasonable conformity with the existing uses and
value of the immediately surrounding properties .
5ECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten days after its passage and approval.
