AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE GRADE OF INDEPENDENCE STREET FROM THE EAST
RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF MOUNT AUBURN ROAD, EAST 3910.37 FEET TO A POINT IN EAST
RODNEY DRIVE INTERSECTION IN THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the grade as hereinafter described shall be the grade for
the center line of Independence Street, from the East right of way line of Mount
Auburn Road, Ease, 3,910.37 feet to a point in East Rodney Drive in the City of
Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and is with reference to Mean Sea Leve1.
SECTION 2. Begin at the East right of way line of Mount Auburn Road, which
point for the purpose of this description shall be known as Station 0 + 00, with
an elevation of 457.90; thence with a descending grade of 1.20% to an elevation
of 457.70 at Station 0 + 16.6; thence East with a vertical curve along said
center line to the point of tangency at an elevation of 443.77 at Station 2 + 66.6;
thence with a descending grade of 9.945% to an elevation of 439.95 at Station 3 +
05; thence with a vertical curve to an elevation of 430.10 at the point of
tangency at Station 4 + 85; thence descending with a grade of 1.0% to an elevation
of 428.20 at Station 6 + 75; thence with a vertical curve to an elevation of
421.81 at the point of tangency at Station 8 + 45; thence with a descending grade
of 6.519% to an elevation of 413.66 at Station 9 + 70; thence with a vertical
curve to an elevation of 406.40 at the point of tangency at Station 10 + 70;
thence with a descending grade of 8.0% to an elevation of 396.00 at Station 12 +
00; thence with a vertical curve to an elevation of 387.00 at the point of
tangency at Station 14 + 00; thence with a descending grade of 1.0% to an
elevation of 384.10 at Station 16 + 90; thence with a vertical curve to an
elevation of 385.04 at the point of tangency at Station 17 + 90 back which
point is also known as Station 17 + 83.27 ahead; thence with an ascending grade
of 2.863% to an elevation of 393.53 at Station 20 + 80; thence with a vertical
curve to an elevation of 405.85 at the point of tangency at Station 22 + 80; thence
with an ascending grade of 9.457% to an elevation of 416.25 at Station 23 + 90;
thence with a vertical curve to an elevation of 424.45 at the point of tangency
at Station 24 + 90; thence with a vertical curve to an elevation of 423.25 at
the point of tangency at Station 29 + 10; thence with a descending grade of
7.50% to an elevation of 421.11 at Station 29+ 38.6 back which point is also known
as Station 29 + 32.6 ahead; thence continue with a descending grade of 7.50%
to an elevation of 411.55 at Station 30 + 60; thence with a vertical curve
to an elevation of 403.3 at the point of tangency at Station 31 + 60; thence
with a descending grade of 9.00% to an elevation of 396.10 at Station 32 + 40;
thence with a vertical curve to an elevation of 392.97 at Station 35 + 70; thence
with a vertical curve to an elevation of 400.37 at the point of tangency at Station
36 + 70; thence with an ascending grade of 7.7% to an elevation of 409.59 at
Station 37 + 89.74 back, which point is also known as Station 37 + 85.4 ahead;
thence with an ascending grade of 7.7% to an elevation of 411.35 at Station 38 +
08.3; thence with a vertical curve, having a P.I. of 417.51 at Station 38 + 88.3
to an elevation of 414.35 at Station 38 + 93.3, in East Rodney Intersection.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from
and after ten (10) days following its passage and approval.
