AN ORDINANCE ENACTING A NEW SECTION 26-48 . 1 AND SCHEDULE "0"
OF SECTION 26-48. 1 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, RELATING TO PROHIBITED TURNS IN THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
5ECTION l. A new Section 26-48 . 1 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby created and
enacted, to read as follows:
"Sec. 26-48. 1. Prohibited turns.
Whenever right or left or U-turns are prohibited at the
intersections designated by Schedule O, adopted and incor-
porated by reference, no vehicle driver shall turn in violation
of said prohibition. "
SECTION 2 . A new Schedule O of Section 26-48 . 1 of the Code
of Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby
created and enacted, to read as follows:
PROHIBITED TURNS
Schedule O, 26-48 . 1
No left turn for westbound traffic on Good Hope Street at Kingshighway
(Business Loop I-55, Route 61)
No left turn for southbound traffic on Kingshighway (Business
Loop I-55 , Route 61) at Good Hope Street
SECTION 3. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid
or unconstitutional by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such
portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent
provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions hereof.
SECTION 4 . All prior ordinances or portions thereof which
are contrary to or inconsistent with the provisions of this
ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of the contradiction
or inconsistency.
SECTION 5. It is the intention of the governing body and it
is hereby ordained that the provisions of this ordinance shall

become and be made a part of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and the sections of this Code may be
renumbered to accomplish such intention.
SECTION 6. When an ordinance repealing a former ordinance,
clause or provision, shall be itself repealed, such repeal shall
not be construed to revive such former ordinance, clause or
provision, unless it shall be expressly so provided.
SECTION 7. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
