Home My WebLink AboutCityMgrForm.1489.09-19-1979 . . . . a, C ITY P�IP,NAGER FORM ORD INANCE NO. 14 8 9 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART OF OUTLOTS 81, 82, AND 87, AND PART OF LOT l, RODNEY 400 ARPEN TRACT, U.S. PRIVATE SURVEY 2199, CITY AND COUNTY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, FROM R-1 TO C-1 AND C-2 WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that all of the property described in Section 1 of this Ordinance should be rezoned from R-1, Single-Family Dwelling District to C- 1, Local Commercial District; and WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that all of the property described in Section 2 of this Ordinance should be rezoned from R-1, Single-Family Dwelling District to C- 2, General Commercial District; and WHEREAS, Public Notice of such change was given as prescribed in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and public hearing was held on Wednesday, September 5, 1979; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, has elected to rezone the property described in Section 1 from R- 1, Single-Family Dwelling District to C-1, Local Commercial District; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, has elected to rezone the property described in Section 2 from R- l, Single-Family Dwelling District to C-2, General Commercial District; NOW, '�'HEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOW5 : SECTION l. The City Council hereby finds and declares that the property described in Sections 1 and 2 hereof are at the present time particularly suitable for the purposes and uses of C-1, Local Commercial District and C-2, General Commercial District, and that such changes authorized hereby are reasonable and in reasonable conformity with the existing uses and value of the immediately surrounding properties. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after ten days after its passage and approval.
