AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF CAP� GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOTS
229, 230, 231, 265, 216 AND 217, WESTFIELD THIRD SUBDIVISION,
CITY AND COUNTY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, FROM R-1 TO R-4
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended
that all of the property described in Section 1 of this Ordinance
should be rezoned from R-1, Single-Family Dwelling District to R-
4, Multiple Dwelling District; and
WHEREAS, Public Notice of such change was given as prescribed
in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri, and public hearing was held on Wednesday,
November 7, 1979; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
has elected to rezone the property described in Section 1 from R-
l, Single-Family Dwelling District to R-4 , Multiple Dwelling
District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAPE G1�F.DEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l. Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby amended to change the
zoning from the present R-1, Single-Family Dwelling District to
R-4, Multiple Dwelling District, for the following described
property:
All of Lots 229 , 230, 231, 265, 216 and 217 of Westfield
Third Subdivision, a Part of Outlot 83, U. S. Private Survey
No. 2199, of the City and County of Cape Girardeau, State of
Missouri, as shown by Plat recorded in Plat Book 12 at Page
30.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and declares that
the property described in Section 1 hereof is at the present time
particularly suitable for the purposes and uses of R-4 , Multiple
Dwelling District, and that such changes au�thorized hereby are

reasonable and in reasonable conformity with the existing uses
and value of the immediately surrounding properties.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after ten days after its passage and approval.
