AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI , BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART OF
LOT 1 OF THE RODNEY TRACT IN U.S.P. SURVEY
N0. 2199 , TOWNSHIP 30 NORTH, RANGE 13 EAST,
CITY AND COUNTY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU� MISSOURI
FROM R-4 TO C-2
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended that all of the property described in Section 1 of
this ordinance should be rezoned from R-4 Multiple Dwelling
District to C-2 , General Commercial District; and
WHEREAS, Public Notice of such change was given as
prescribed in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri , and public hearing was held on
,,.., Wednesday, October 2, 1985 ;and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau ,
Missouri , has elected to rezone the property described in
Section 1 from R-4 , Multiple Dwelling District to C-2 , General
Commercial District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Cape Girardeau , Missouri , is hereby amended to change
the zoning from the present R-4 , Multiple Dwelling District to
C-2 , General Commercial District, for the following described
property:
All that part of Lot One (1 ) of a Subdivision of 400 Arpens
known as the Rodney Tract in U.S.P . Survey No. 2199 ,
Township 30 North , Range 13 East in the City and County of
Cape Girardeau, State of Missouri , described as follows:
Begin at the point where the south line of said Lot 1
intersects the west right-of-way line of U.S. Route 61 ;
thence North 82° 15 ' 4Jest 1048 .8 feet for the point of
beginning; thence continue North 82° 15 ' West 225 .9 feet;
thence North 11° 48 ' West 123 .5 feet to a point in the

south line of Bloomfield Road; thence North 65° 15 ' East
with said South line of Bloomfield Road 162 .9 feet; thence
South 24° 45 ' East 241 .8 feet to the point of beginning,
containing 0 .80 acre more or less .
SECTION 2 . The City Council hereby finds and declares that
the property described in Section 1 hereof is at the present
time particularly suitable for the purposes and uses of C-2 ,
General Commercial District, and that such changes authorized
hereby are reasonable and in reasonable conformity with the
existing uses and value of the immediately surrounding
properties .
SECTION 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten days after its passage and approval .
