AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 CF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI , BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOT 1 ,
WITNESSES SUBDIVISION� CITY AND COUNTY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI FROM R-1 TO C-1
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commi.ssion has
recommended that all of the property described in Section 1 of
this ordinance should be rezoned from R-1 Single-Family
Dwelling District to C-1 , Local Commercial District; and
WHEREAS, Public PJatice of such change was given as
prescribed in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau , Missouri , and public hearing was held on
Mon�ay, September 16 , 1985 ;and
� WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau ,
Missouri , has elected to rezone the property described in
Section 1 from R-1 , Single-Family Dwelling District to C-1 ,
Local Commercial District;
NOW, THEREFORE, Bi IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CAFE GIRARDEAU, MI��OURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . Chapt4r 30 of the Code of Oruinances oE the
City of Cape Girardeau , Missouri , is hereby am�nded to change
the zoning from the present R-1 , Single-Farnily Dwelling
Dis�rict to C-1 , Local Commercial District, for the following
described property:
Lot �1 , Witnesses Subdivision, Bloomfield Road at I-55 ,
City and County of Cape Girardeau, M,issouri .
SECTION 2 . The City Council hereby finds and declares that
the property described in Section 1 hereof is at the present
time particularly suitable for the purposes and uses of C-1 ,
Local Commercial District, and that suct; chang�s authorized
hereby are reasonable and in reasonablF conformity with the
exi.�ting uses and value of the imm,f:.=diately surrounding
properties . -

SECTION 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten days after its passage and approval . �
