AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE GRADE OF
HACKBERRY STREET FROM A POINT 15 FEET WEST
OF THE CENTER OF BENTON STREET TO A POINT
10. 3 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER OF GIBONEY
AVENUE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . That the grade as hereinafter described shall
be the grade for the center of pavement of Hackberry Street
from a point 15 feet West of the center of Benton Street to a
point 10 . 3 feet West of the center of Giboney Avenue in the
City of Cape Girardeau , Missouri , as shown on the plans
therefor dated March, 1985, and on file in the City Clerk ' s
Office . The grade is in reference to Mean Sea Level .
SECTION 2. Begin at Station 0 - 15, 15 feet West of the
center of Benton Street, at an elevation of 380. 95; thence with
an ascending grade of 5. 00$ to an elevation of 381 . 71 at
Station 0 + 00 ; thence with a vertical curve 80 feet to an
.-. elevation of 387 .91 at Station 0 + 80 ; thence with an ascending
grade of 10. 50� to an elevation of 392. 11 at Station 1 + 20 ;
thence with a vertical curve 100 feet to an elevation of 396 . 87
at Station 2 + 20 ; thence with a descending grade of 0 . 974$ to
an elevation of 396 . 42 at Station 2 + 66 ; thence with a
vertical curve 118 feet to an elevation of 394 . 31 at Station 3
+ 84 ; thence with a descending grade of 2. 60$ to an elevation
of 393 . 56 at Station 4 + 13 ; thence with a vertical curve 20
feet to an elevation of 393. 20 at Station 4 + 33 ; thence with a
descending grade of 1 . 00� to an elevation of 392. 59 at Station
4 + 94 ; thence with a vertical curve 100 feet to an elevation
of 393. 91 at Station 5 + 94 ; thence with an ascending grade of
3. 64� to an elevation of 394. 49 at Station 6 + 10 ; thence with
a vertical curve 80 feet to an elevation of 396 . 58 at Station 6
+ 90 ; thence with an ascending grade of 1 . 57� to an elevation
of 398 . 06 at Station 7 + 85; thence with a vertical curve 30
feet to an elevation of 398 . 79 at Station 8 + 15 ; thence with
an ascending grade of 3. 24$ to an elevation of 401 . 05 at
Station 8 + 85 ; thence with a vertical curve 120 feet to an
elevation of 400. 97 at Station 10 + 05 ; thence with a
descending grade of 3. 37$ to an elevation of 397 . 50 at Station

Street ; thence with a descending grade of 1 . 25$ to an elevation

feet to an elevation of 392. 44 at Station 12 + 70; thence with
a descending grade of 9. 43� to an elevation of 381 . 12 at
Station 13 + 90 ; thence with a vertical curve 70 feet to an
elevation of 376 . 59 at Station 14 + 60 ; thence with a
descending grade of 3 . 51$ to an elevation of 370. 46 at Station
16 + 35 ; thence with a vertical curve 30 feet to an elevation
of 369 . 63 at Station 16 + 65; thence with a descending grade of
2. 00$ to an elevation of 368 . 63 at Station 17 + 15 ; thence with
a 20 foot vertical curve 12. 1 feet to an elevation of 368 . 53 at
Station 17 + 27 ,1, and there terminating .
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after ten days following its passage and
approval .
