AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE GRADE OF
BENTON STREET FROM THE CENTER OF HACKBERRY
STREET TO THE CENTER OF LINDEN STREET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . That the grade as hereinafter described shall
be the grade for the center of pavement of Benton Street from
the center of Hackberry Street to the center of Linden Street
in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri , as shown on the plans
therefor dated March , 1985, and on file in the City Clerk 's
Office. The grade is in ref erence to Mean Sea Level .
SECTION 2. Begin at Station 0 + 00 at the center of
Hackberry street with an elevation of 381 . 71 ; being a 40 foot
vertical curve with a beginning descending grade of 2. 00$ ;
thence with said vertical curve 35 feet to an elevation of
,�, 381 . 89 at Station 0 + 35; thence with an ascending grade of
2. 46� to an elevation of 382. 26 at Station 0 + 50 ; thence with
a vertical curve 60 feet to an elevation of 385 . 67 at Station
1 + 10 ; thence with an ascending grade of 8 . 89g to an elevation
of 388 , 34 at Station 1 + 40 ; thence with a vertical curve 140
feet to an elevation of 392. 74 at Station 2 + 80 ; thence with a
descending grade of 2. 58$ to an elevation of 390. 03 at Station
3 + 85 ; thence with a vertical curve 30 feet to an elevation of
389 . 01 at Station 4 + 15 ; thence with a descending grade of
4. 30$ to an elevation of 387. 08 at Station 4 + 60 ; thence with
a vertical curve 30 feet to an elevation of 384. 67 at Station
4 + 90 ; thence with a descending grade of 11 . 71$ to an
elevation of 379 . 41 at Station 5 + 35 ; thence with a vertical
curve 30 feet to an elevation of 377 . 11 at Station 5 + 65 ;
thence with a descending grade of 3 . 62$ to an elevation of
376 . 76 at Station 5 + 74 ; thence with a vertical curve 186 feet
to an elevation of 378 .11 at Station 7 + 60; thence with an
ascending grade of 5. 08$ to an elevation of 382. 42 at Station 8
+ 45; thence with a vertical curve 30 feet to an elevation of
383. 44 at Station 8 + 75 ; thence with an ascending grade of
1 . 70$ to an elevation of 383. 87 at Station 9 + 01 . 5 and there
terminating.
