AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF TNE CITY OF C�PE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART OF
LOTS 7, CRITES FIRST ADDITION, ALL OF LOTS
1 , 2 AND 3 OF CRITES SEVENTH ADDITION, AND
PART OF LOT 11 , PINjq00D PARK SECOND
ADDITION, CITY AND COUNTY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI FROM C-2 TO R-A
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended that all of the property described in Section 1 of
this ordinance should be rezoned from C-2, General Commercial
District to R-4, Multipl.e Dwelling bistrict ; and
WHEREAS, Public Notice of such change was given as
prescribed in Chapter 30 of the Code oF Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau , Missouri , and pub? ic hearing was held on
Wednesday, March 20, 1985; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau ,
Missouri , has elected to rezone thE property described in
^ Section 1 from C-2, General Commercial. District to R-4,
Multiple Dwelling District ;
NOW, THEREFO�E, Br IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri , is herzby amendec� to change
the zoning from the pr��sent C-2, General C�rnmercial District to
R-4, Multiple Dwelling District, for the following described
property:
PARCEL NO. 1 . 1 . 51515 Acres
From the northeast corner of Lot 7 Crites lst Addition, run
North 0° 04 ' West , 220 . 0 feet ; thence South �9° 56' West ,
300. 0 feet ; thence Soutl� 0° 04 ' East, 220. 0 feet to the
northwest corner of Lot 5 Crites lst Addition ; thence North
89° 56 ' East, along the north line c� Lots 5, 6 and 7 of
Crites lst Addition, 300 . 0 feet to the point of be�inning.

Begin at the northeast corner of Lot 7 of Crites First
Addition to the City of Cape Girardeau ; thence North 0° 04 '
West, 220. 0 feet ; thence North 89° 56 ' East ; 300. 0 feet ;

Addition to said City; thence S. 0° 04' E, along the West
line of said Lot 11 , 200 . 0 feet to the SW corner of said
Lot ; thence S. 89° 56' W. with the North Line of Whitener
Street extended, 593. 12 feet ; thence N. 8° 15 ' E. , 202.13
feet to the SW corner of Lot 3 of Crites Seventh Addition;
thence N. 89° 56' E, along the South line of Crites Seventh
and Sixth Additions respectively 563. 88 feet to the point
of beginning.

All of Lots 1 , 2 and 3 of Crites 7th Addition to the City
of Cape Girardeau .
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and declares that
the property described in Section 1 hereof is at the present
time particularly suitable for the purposes and uses of R-4,
Multiple Dwelling District, and that such changes authorized
hereby are reasonable and in reasonable conformity with the
existing uses and value of the immediately surrounding
properties . �"
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten days after its passage and approval .
