BILL N0. 85-19 ORDINANCE N0. �-G�'-1—�--
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF THE 500
BLOCK OF PEARL STREET
WHEREAS, the 500 block of Pearl Street has been dedicated
to the public use but has not been improved; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that because of the
terrain it is not feasible to improve the 500 block of Pearl
Street; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest that a portion of the
500 block of Pearl Street be vacated and the land revert to the
adjoining property owners;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . The 500 block of Pearl Street, more
particularly described as follows:
Part of Lot 73, Range "0" , Ingram' s Addition, in the City
'�' and County of Cape Girardeau, State of Missouri, described
as follows :
Start at the Northwest corner of Middle Street and Pearl
Street; thence North 83° 05' West, along the North line of
Pearl Street, and said line extended, 193 . 25 feet to the
Southeast corner of Lot 73, Range "0" , Ingram' s Addition;
thence North 6° 55 ' East , along the East line of said Lot
73 , 7 .9 feet to the North line of relocated Pearl Street
and the point of beginning; thence North 45° 23 ' West,
along the North line of Pearl Street, 183. 3 feet ; thence
North 83° 05 ' West, along the North line of Pearl Street ,
38 . 0 feet to the East line of Frederick Street ; thence
South 6° 55 ' West 60 feet to the South line of Pearl
Street; thence South 83° 05' East along the South line of
Pearl Street 17 . 5 feet ; thence South 45° 23 ' East along the
South line of relocated Pearl Street 196 . 22 feet; thence
North 6° 55 ' East 67 . 92 feet to the point of beginning.
subject to the reservation in Section 2 is hereby vacated.
SECTION 2 . The City retains an easement for the
construction and maintenance of sanitary and storm sewers over
the portion of Pearl Street described as follows:

follows :

Street to the Southeast corner of Lot 73 , Range "0" ,
Ingrams Addition; thence N. 6° 55' E. , 7 . 9 feet along the
East line of said Lot 73 to the North right-of-way line of
relocated Pearl Street for a point of beginning; thence N.
45° 23 ' W. , 31 . 6 feet along said North line; thence S. 6°
55' West, 75 . 2 feet to the South right-of-way line of
relocated Pearl Street; thence S. 45° 23 ' E. , 31 . 6 feet
along said South line; thence N. 6° 55' E. , 83 .1 feet to
the point of beginning.
SECTION 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten days after its passage and approval .
