AN ORDINANCE CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION IN
THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, ON THE
QUESTION F7HETHER THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI , SHALL LOCATE THE UNIVERSITY/CITY
MULTI-USE CENTER ON PROPERTY OWNED BY
SOUTHEAST MISSOURI STATE UNIVERSITY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l. That a special election is hereby ordered to be
held in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on Tuesday,
November 6, �.Q84 , on the folZowing questicr.:
QUESTION
Shall the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
locate the University/City Multi-Use Center
on property owned by Southeast Missouri State
University?
SECTION 2 . That the form of the Notice of Election for said
special election, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a
part hereof, is hereby approved.
SECTION 3 . That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to notify the County Clerk of Cape Girardeau County,
Missouri, of the passage of this Ordinance, and to include in
said notification all of the terms and provisions required by the
Comprehensive Election Act, Chapter 115 , Missouri Revised
Statutes, 1978 , as amended.
SECTION 4 . That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its final passage.

CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
Notice is hereby given to the qualified voters of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, that the City Council of the City
has called a special election to be held in the City on Tuesday,
November 6, 1984 , commencing at 6: 00 o' clock A.M. and closing at
7: 00 o' clock P.M. , on the question contained in the following
sample ballot:

opposite "YES" . If you are opposed to the
question, place an X in the box opposite
"NO" .
