AN ORDINANCE AMENDTNG CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART OF OUT LOT 72, U.S. P.
SURVEY 2199, CITY AND COUNTY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, FROM R-2 TO R-4
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recom-
mended that all of the property described in Section 1 of this
ordinance should be rezoned from R-2, Single-Family Dwelling
District to R-4, Multiple Dwelling District ; and
WHEREAS, Public Notice of such change was given as pre-
scribed by Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and public hearing was held on
Wednesday, August 15, 1984 ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau ,
Missouri , has elected to rezone the property described in Sec-
tion 1 from R-2, Single-Family Dwelling District to R-4, Mul-
tiple Dwelling District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l . Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby amended to change
the zoning from the present R-2, Single-Family Dwelling Dis-
trict to R-4, Multiple Dwelling District, for the following
�escribed property:
All of that part of Out Lot No. 72, U.S . P. Survey
2199, in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, described as
follows :
Begin at the Southeast corner of said Out Lot No. 72;
thence North 7� 30 ' East with the East line of said Out
Lot 72, 1519 feet for a beginning corner ; thence continue
North 70 30 ' East with the East line of said Out Lot No.
72, 248. 4 feet to a corner , being a point 1767. 4 feet from
the Southeast corner of said Out Lot No . 72 (being also the
Southeast corner of the Och 's land ) ; thence North 81� 55'
West 415 feet to a corner ; thence South 7� 30' West 268 . 4
feet ; thence South 81� 55 ' East 40 feet to a corner ;
thence North 7° 30 ' East 20 feet to a corner ; thence
South 81° 55 ' East 375 feet to the beginning corner .

Also , A parcel of land situated in Out Lot 72 in the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, described as follows :
Commence at the southeast corner of said Out Lot 72
and run North 7� 30 ' East with the East line of Out Lot
72, 1519 feet =or a beginning corner ; thence North 81�
55' West 375 feet ; thence South 7° 30' West 80 feet ;
thence North 81° 55 ' West, 375 feet to a corner on the
East line of Out Lot 72 ; thence North 7� 30' East , 80
feet to the beginning corner, containing 0. 690 of an acre,
more or less.
Also , a parcel of land containing 0 . 055 of an acre,
more or less, situated in Out Lot 72 in the City of Cape
Girardeau , Missouri, described as follows :
Starting at the southeast corner of Out Lot 72 ; thence
North 7� 30 ' East, along the east line of said Out Lot
72, a distance of 1439 feet for a point ; thence North 81�
55 ' West, a distance of 375 feet for the point of be-
ginning; thence continuing North 81� 55' West, a distance
of 40 feet for a corner ; thence North 7° 30' East, a dis-
tance of 60 feet for a corner ; thence South 81� 55' East,
a distance of 40 feet for a corner ; thence South 7� 30 '
West, 60 feet to the point of beginning .
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and declares that
the property described in Section 1 hereof is at the present
time particularly suitable for the purposes and uses of R-4,
Multiple Dwelling District, and that such changes authorized
hereby are reasonable and in reasonable conformity with the
existing uses and value of the immediately surrounding pro-
perties.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and ef-
fect ten days after its passage and approval .
