AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE GRADE OF FOURTH STREET
FROM A POINT 30 . 4 FEET WEST OF THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY
OF BIG BEND ROAD EXTENDED TO A POINT 8 FEET WEST OF
THE WEST RIGHT-OF-WAY OF MAIN STREET EXTENDED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l . That the grade as hereinafter described shall be
the grade for the center of pavement of Fourth Street from 30 . 4
feet west of the east right-of-way of Big Bend Road, east 668 . 5
feet parallel and 1 . 8 feet south of the center line of Fourth
Street right-of-way to a point 8 feet west of the west right-of-way
of Main Street in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, as shown
on the plans therefor dated May, 1984 , and on file in the City
Clerk' s office . The grade is in reference to Mean Sea Level.
SECTION 2 . Begin at Station 0 + 00 at the east edge of
pavement of Big Bend Road which is 30 . 4 feet west of the east
right-of-way of Big Bend Road and the center of pavement of Fourth
Street with an elevation of 376 . 61; thence with a vertical curve
having a descending grade of 0 . 90 to an elevation of 376 . 36 at
Station 0 + 22 for the point of intersection of said curve; thence
continuing with said curve 32 feet to an elevation of 377 . 99 at
Station 0 + 54 ; thence with a vertical curve 30 feet to an
elevation of 380 . 00 at Station 0 + 84 ; thence with an ascending
grade of 8 . 27o to an elevation of 386 . 29 at Station 1 + 60 ; thence
with a vertical curve 76 feet to an elevation of 385 . 77 feet at
Station 2 + 36 ; thence with a descending grade of9 . 63% to an
elevation of 372 . 00 at Station 3 + 79; thence with a vertical
curve 30 feet to an elevation of 368 . 93 at Station 4 + 09 ; thence
with a descending grade of 10 . 88o to an elevation of 365 . 88 at
Station 4 + 37; thence with a vertical curve 154 feet to an
elevation of 355 . 51 at Station 5 + 91; thence with a descending
grade of 2 . 58o to an elevation of 353 . 51 at Station 6 + 68 . 5 and
there terminating.
SECTION 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after ten days following its passage and approval.
