BILL NO. 84-65 ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE GRADE OF FIFTH STREET
FROM A POINT 20 . 2 FEET WEST OF THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY
OF BIG BEND ROAD EXTENDED, TO A POINT 8 FEET WEST OF
THE WEST RIGHT-OF-WAY OF MAIN STREET EXTENDED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l. That the grade as hereinafter described shall be
the grade for the center of pavement of Fifth Street from 20 . 2 feet
west of the east right-of-way of Big Bend Road east 676 . 0 feet to
a point 8 feet west of the west right-of-way of Main Street in the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, as shown on the plans therefor
dated May, 1984 , and on file in the City Clerk' s office . The grade
is in reference to Mean Sea Level.
SECTION 2 . Begin at Station 0 + 00 with an elevation of
386 . 71; thence with a vertical curve 40 feet to an elevation of
383 . 89 at Station 0 + 40; thence with a descending grade of 14 . 120
to an elevation of 374 . 01 at Station 1 + 10; thence with a vertical
curve, 150 feet to an elevation of 361 . 71 at Station 2 + 60 ; thence
with a descending grade of 2 . 28o to an elevation of 358 . 21 at
Station 4 + 13; thence with a vertical curve 100 feet to an
elevation of 361 . 61 at Station 5 + 13 ; thence with an ascending
grade of 9 . 07o to an elevation of 362 . 57 at Station 5 + 24 ; thence
with a vertical curve 72 feet to an elevation of 363 . 10 at Station
5 + 96 ; thence with a descending grade of 7 . 60o to an elevation of
359 . 76 at Station 6 + 40 ; thence with a vertical curve 36 feet to
an elevation of 357 . 58 at Station 6 + 76 and there terminating.
SECTION 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after ten days following its passage and approval.
