AN ORDINANCE REESTABLISHING THE GRADE OF JOHNSON STREET
FROM A POINT 30 . 5 FEET WEST OF THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE
OF BIG BEND ROAD EXTENDED, TO A POINT 3 FEET WEST OF THE
WEST RIGHT-OF-WAY OF MAIN STREET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1 . Commission Form Ordinance No. 2504 which
established the grade of a portion of Johnson Street is hereby
repealed in its entirety.
SECTION 2 . That the grade as hereinafter described shall
be the grade for the center of pavement of Johnson Street from a
point 30 . 5 feet west of the east right-of-way of Big Bend Road,
east 639 . 7 feet to a point 3 feet west of the west right-of-way of
Main Street in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, as shown on
the plans therefor dated May, 1984 , and on file in the City Clerk' s
office . The grade is in reference to Mean Sea Level.
SECTION 3 . Begin at Station 0 + 00 at the east edge of
pavement of Big Bend Road with an elevation of 376 . 16; thence
with a descending grade of 5 . 37o to an elevation of 376 . 04 at
Station 0 + 02 . 2 ; thence with a vertical curve 25 feet to an
elevation of 373 . 62 at Station 0 + 27 . 2 ; thence with a vertical
curve 25 feet to an elevation of 370 . 87 at Station 0 + 52 . 2 ; thence
with a descending grade of 8 . Oo to an elevation of 369 . 87 at
Station 0 + 64 . 7 ; thence with a vertical curve 100 feet to an
elevation of 368 . 31 at Station 1 + 64 . 7; thence with an ascending
grade of 4 . 88o to an elevation of 371 . 40 at Station 2 + 28; thence
with a vertical curve 146 feet to an elevation of 385 . 18 at
Station 3 + 74 ; thence with an ascending grade of 14 . Oo to an
elevation of 390 . 87 at Station 4 + 14 . 7 ; thence with a vertical
curve 100 feet to an elevation of 400 . 87 at Station 5 + 14 . 7;
thence with an ascending grade of 6 . Oo to an elevation of 405 . 37
at Station 5 + 89 . 7 ; thence with a vertical curve 50 feet to an
elevation of 407 . 27 at Station 6 + 39 . 7 and there terminating.
SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after ten days following its passage and approval.
