AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI , BY Cf1�1NGING THE ZONING OF PARTS OF
F3LOCKS 1 , 2 AND 3 IN RANNEY PLACE ADDITTON,
CITY AND COUNTY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
FROM M-2 AND R-4 TO C-3
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended that all of the property described in Section 1 of
this ordinance should be rezoned from M-2 , Heavy Industrial
District and R-4 , Multiple Dwelling District to C-3 , Central
Business District; and
WHEREAS , Public Notice of such change was given as
prescribed in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau , l�lissouri , and a public hearing was held on
Tuesday, September 2 , 1986 ; and
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau ,
Missouri , has electecl to rezone the property described in
^ Section 1 from M-2 , Heavy Industrial District and R-4 , Multiple
Dwelling District to C-3 , Central Business District;
N047, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED $Y THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Cape Girardeau , Missouri , is hereby amended to change
the zoning from the present M-2 , Heavy Industrial District and
R-4 , Multiple Dwelling District to C-3 , Central Business
District, for the following described property:
All of Lot Five ( 5 ) , Block One ( 1 ) and the South
eleven ( 11 ) feet of Lot Four ( 4 ) , Ranney Place
Addition in the City of Cape Girardeau , Missouri and
also: All of Lots One ( 1 ) and Six ( 6 ) in Block Three
( 3 ) of Ranney Place Addition in the City of Cape
Girardeau , Missouri , and also the East 220 feet of
Block Two ( 2 ) of Ranney Place Addition in the City of
Cape Girardeau , Missouri .
SECTION 2 . The City Council hereby finds and declares that
the property described in Section 1 hereof is at the present
time particularly suitable for the purposes and uses of C-3 ,
Central Business District , and that such changes authorized
^ hereby are reasonable and in reasonable conformity with the
existing uses and value of the immediately surrounding
properties .
SECTION 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten days after its passage and approval .
