AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING FUNDS FROM THE
CONVENTION AND TOURISM FUND TO THE DEBT
SERVICE FUND AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO PAY �
THE INTEREST DUE ON THE MULTI-USE CENTER
GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . The City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri , hereby transfers the sum of Two Hundred Fifty-Two
Thousand Three Hundred Thirty Dollars ($252 ,330 . 00 ) from the
Convention and Tourism Fund to the Debt Service Fund.
SECTION 2 . The City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri , hereby appropriates from the Debt Service Fund the
sum of Two Hundred Fifty-Two Thousand Three Hundred Thirty
Dollars ( $252 , 330 . 00 ) for the purpose of making an interest
payment on the General Obligation Public Building Bonds, Series
1984, issued under authority of Ordinance No. 190 .
,,,., SECTION 3 . It is hereby declared an emergency exists as
provided for in Section 3 . 15 of the City Charter for the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri in that the interest payment is due
on May l , 1986 and the nonemergency procedure for enacting
ordinances does not allow sufficient time in which to transfer
the interest payment to the paying agent. It is hereby further
found and declared that an appropriation for payment of
principal or interest on the public debt is an emergency
measure as provided for in Section 3 . 15 (d) of the City Charter
for the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri .
SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval .
