AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE GRADE OF WATER
STREET, FROM THE CENTERLINE OF JOHNSON
STREET TO THE CENTERLINE OF ROBERTS STREET,
IN THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1 . That the grade as hereinafter described shall be
the grade of Water Street, from the centerline of Johnson Street,
North 560 feet along the proposed center line of Water Street to
the centerline of Robert Street, in the City of Cape Girardeau ,
Missouri , and is in reference to Mean Sea Level .
SECTION 2 . Begin at a point on the centerline of Water Street
and the centerline of Johnson Street, which for the purpose of
this description shall be known as Station 0 - 30, with an
elevation of 394. 51; said point is also the point of intersection
of an 80 foot vertical curve having an ascending grade of 9 ,31$
and a descending grade of 6 .60$; thence northerly with a
descending grade of 6 .60� to an elevation of 383 .90 at Station 1 +
55 ; thence with a vertical curve to an elevation of 385 .06 at
Station 3 + 55 at the point of tangency; with an ascending grade
of 7 .76$ to an elevation of 395 .84 at Station 4 + 94; thence with
a vertical curve to an elevation of 397 . 20 at Station 5 + 24 at
the point of tangency; thence with an ascending grade of 1 . 33$ to
an elevation 397 . 28 at Station 5 + 30 and there terminating.
SECTION 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval .
