AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE BOUNDARIES OF
SEWER DISTRICT N0. 14-X-2, A SUBDIVISION OF
SEWER DISTRICT N0. 14-X-1 , APPROVING THE
PLANS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SYSTEM OF
SANITARY LATERAL SEWERS IN SEWER DISTRICT
N0. 14-X-2, AND AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF SANITARY LATERAL SEWERS IN SEWER DISTRICT
N0. 14-X-2 UNDER A PRIVATE CONTRACT SUBJECT
TO CERTAIN PROVISIONS, IN THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . That the boundaries of Sewer District No . 14-X-2,
a subdivision of Sewer District No . 14-X-1 in the City of Cape
Girardeau , Missouri , shall be as follows:
Part of the West half of the Southwest Quarter of
Section 19 , Township 31 North , Range 14 East, City and
County of Cape Girardeau , State of Missouri , described
as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Northfield Eighth
Subdivision as recorded in the land records of the
County Recorders Office; thence S. 89° 36 ' 00" W. ,
865 . 39 feet along the North line of Northfield Eighth
Subdivision to the Northwest corner of Northfield
Eighth Subdivision; thence along the East line of
Northfield Seventh Subdivision as recorded in the land
records of the County Recorders Office the following
courses and distances : N. 12° 15 ' 00" W. , 13. 67 feet ;
thence N. 19° �47 ' 03" W. , 293. 25 feet to the Northeast
corner of Northfield Seventh Subdivision; thence N.
89° 36 ' 00" E. , 963. 08 feet to the East line of
Brookshire Estates Subdivision as recorded in the land
records of the County Recorders Office; thence S. 00°
53' 00" E. , 290. 00 feet along said East line to the
point of beginning containing 6. 08 acres more or less .
SECTION 2. That the plans for the construction of a system of
sanitary lateral sewers to serve Sewer District No. 14-X-2, a copy
of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk , are hereby
approved and ordered filed .
SECTION 3. That the owners of lands in said Sewer District
No. 14-X-2 are hereby granted permission to construct said system
of sanitary lateral sewers in Sewer District No . 14-X-2 and to
connect same to existing sewers in Sewer District No . 14-X-1,
subject to the following provisions .
1 . That proper authority has been secured to proceed from
the Missouri Clean Water Commission .
2. That all permanent easements for said sewers on private
property are made to the City of Cape Girardeau ,
Missouri , prior to execution of a contract for the work
of construction of said sewers .
3. That all City ordinances , Standard Specifications of the
City and State laws applicable to this project will be
observed in all respects .
4. That the quality of the work and materials be inspected
by the agents of the City engineer of the said City, and
that cost of said inspections be paid to said City
following the completion of the work and its acceptance
by said City and the Missouri Clean Water Commission.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after ten days following its passage and
approval .
