AN ORDINAfdCE ENACTING SFCTION 2Q-11 OF THE
REVISED CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THF CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAiJ, MISSOURI , PERTAINING TO FEES
FOR RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS
BE IT ORDAIr]ED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARnFAiJ,
MI SSOURI , AS FOLLO��]S :
SECTION l . A new Section of the revised Code of Ordinances
for the City of Cape rirardeau , 1�Iissouri , is hereby enacted to be
known as Section 20-11 and entitled Recreation Program Fees ; said
ordinance to read as follows :
Sec . 20-11 . Recreation Program Fees .
RECREATION PROGRAMS
Adult recreation programs
ages 19 thru 64 Fees sufficient to recover
--resident full cost for providing
program but not more than
$15 . 00
Programs for seniors--
65 and over -- resident Fees shall be sufficient to
recover 80% of cost but not
more than $12 . 00
Recreational programs
for the underprivileged Fee shall be sufficient to
--resident recover 50� of cost but not
more than $7 . 50
rlon-resident youth programs
18 years of age and under Fee $ 1 . 00
P1on-resident adults age
19 thru 64 Fee shall be the full cost
for providing the program
but not r�ore than $16 . 50
PJon-resident senior _
recreational program
age 65 and over Fee shall be suf_ficient to
recover 80� of cost plus
$1 . 00 but not more than
$12 . 00
T1on-resident underprivileged
recreational programs Fee shall be sufficient to
recover 50� of the cost
but not more than $7 . 50
SECTIO�I 2 . If any section, subsection , sentence , clause ,
phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid
or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such
portion shall be deemed a separate , distinct and independent
provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions hereof .
SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall not become effective unless a
majority of the qualified voters of the City voting in the June 2 ,
1987 special election approves the levy of the fees set forth in
this ordinance . If a majority of such voters approve the levy,
this ordinance shall �e in full force and effect from and after
July 1 , 1987 .
