AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, BY CHANGING THE ZONING PART OF
BLOCK 2 OF RANNEY PLACE ADDITION, CITY AND
COUNTY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI FROM R-4
TO C-3
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended that all of the property described in Section 1 of
this ordinance should be rezoned from R-4 Multiple Dwelling
District to C-3, Central Business District ; and
WHEREAS, Public Notice of such change was given as prescribed
in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri , and public hearing was held on Monday,
March 2, 1987 ; and
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri , has elected to rezone the property described in
Section 1 from R-4 , Multiple Dwelling District to C-3, Central
Business District ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION l . Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri , is hereby amended to change the
zoning from the prese�zt R-4, Multiple Dwelling District to C-3,
Central Business District , for the following described property :
438 North Spanish
All of the West tlzirty-three ( 33) feet of Block Two
( 2) of Ranney Place Addition to the City of Cape
Girardeau , Missouri , as shown by Plat recorded in Plat
Book 3, at Page 22.
438 Rear North Spani.sh
All of the East 32 feet of the West 65 feet of Block
Two ( 2) in Ranney Place Addition to the City of Cape
Girardeau , Missouri .
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and declares that
the property described in Section 1 hereof is at the present time
particularly suitable for the purposes and uses of C-3, Central
Business District, and that such changes authorized hereby are
reasonable and in reasonable conformity with the existing uses and
value of the immediately surrounding properties .
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval .
