AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE BOUNDARIES OF SEWER
DISTRICT N0. 14-Z-3, A SUBDIVISION OF TRUNK SEWER
DISTRICT N0. 14-1-B, APPROVING THE PLANS AND
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SYSTEM OF
SANITARY LATERAL SEWERS IN SEWER DISTRICT N0.
14-Z-3, UNDER A PRIVATE CONTRACT SUBJECT TO
CERTAIN PROVISIONS, IN THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS :
ARTICLE 1 . That the boundaries of Sewer District No . 14-Z-3,
a subdivision of Trunk Sewer District No. 14-1-B in the City of
Cape Girardeau, Missouri , shall be as follows :
A part of the South Half of the Northeast Quarter and a
part of the North Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section
27, Township 31 North, Range 13 East of the Fifth Principal
Meridian, City and County of Cape Girardeau, State of
Missouri , described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Carolewood Estates II
Subdivision as recorded in the land records of the County
Recorders Office in Plat Book No. 15 at Page No . 46 ; thence
along the West line of Carolewood Estates II Subdivision,
the following courses and distances : South O1° 12 ' 40"
East , 947 . 72 feet ; thence South 13° 26 ' 12" West , 403 . 88
feet , to the Southwest corner of said Subdivision, said
point also being on the North line of Ashland Hills Estates
Subdivision as recorded in the land records of the County
Recorders Office in Plat Book No . 14 at Page No. 72 ; thence
North 88° 38 ' 18" West , 343 . 44 feet along said North line;
thence North 00° 08 ' 00" West , 1351 . 87 feet to a point on
the North line of Carolewood Estates II Subdivision,
prolonged ; thence South 87° 19 ' 00" East , 420 . 77 feet along
said North line prolonged to the point of beginning,
containing 12 . 92 acres more or less .
ARTICLE 2. That the plans for the construction of a system of
sanitary lateral sewers to serve Sewer District No. 14-Z-3 , a copy
of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk , are hereby
approved and ordered filed .
ARTICLE 3 . That the owners of lands in said Sewer District
No . 14-Z-3 are hereby granted permission to construct said system
of sanitary lateral sewers in Sewer District No . 14-Z-3 and to

connect same to existing sewers in Trunk Sewer District No.
14-1-B, subject to the following provisions .
1 . That proper authority has been secured to proceed from
the Missouri Clean Water Commission.
2 . That all permanent easements for said sewers on private
property are made to the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri , prior to execution of a contract for the work
of construction of said sewers .
3 . That all City Ordinances, Standard Specifications of the
City and State laws applicable to this project will be
observed in all respects .
4 . That the quality of the work and materials be inspected
by the agents of the City engineer of the said City, and
that cost of said inspections be paid to said City
following the completion of the work and its acceptance
by said City and the Missouri Clean Water Commission.
ARTICLE 4 . That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after ten days following its passage and
approval .
