AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL
TAX BILLS FOR THE DEMOLITION OF DANGEROUS
BUILDINGS UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 9-A OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU
WHEREAS, the Building Supervisor of the City of Cape Girardeau ,
Missouri , issued an Order Causinq Certain Dangerous Buildings to be
Demolished; and
WHEREAS, the City of Cape Girardeau did cause said buildings to
be demolished in accordance with the Order thereby incurring
certain expenses; and
WHEREAS, the Building Inspector authorized the issuance of
certain tax bills;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, P�7ISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . The City Clerk is hereby authorized and ordered to
place on file Special Tax Bills issued in accordance with the Order
of the Buildinq Supervisor which shall be a lien against the
following described property in accordance with law, until paid or
collected by the City of Cape Girardeau , Missouri :
$1 , 950 . 00 -- 403 william Street , East part of Lot 33 and
part of Lot 34 , Range G.
$1 ,395 . 00 -- 216 Pearl Street , West part , 42 .5 feet by 85
feet , of Lot 51 , Range 0.
$705 .00 -- 1230 South Pacific Street , Lot 11 , Block 5 ,
Giboney Houck 's Fourth Subdivision .
SECTION 2 . Said Tax Bills shall bear an interest rate of eight
per cent ( 8$ ) per year annum.
SECTION 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval .
