AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI , BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF 622
EMERALD STREET, CITY AND COUNTY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI FROM R-4 TO C-1
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended that all of the property describe d in Section 1 of
this ordinance should be rezoned from R-4 Multiple Dwelling
District to C-1 , Local Commercial District ; and
WHEREAS, Public Notice of such change was given as prescribed
in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri , and public hearinq was held on Monday, May 1 ,
1989; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri , has elected to rezone the property described in Section
1 from R-4 Multiple Dwelling District to C-1 , Local Commercial
District ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri , is hereby amended to change the
zoning from the present R-4 Multiple Dwelling District to C-1 ,
Local Commercial District , for the following described property:
The East Fifty ( 50 ) feet of the West One Hundred Fifteen
( 115 ) feet of Lot 10 and 11 , Block 4 of Marble City
Heights Addition, in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri .
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and declares that
the property described in Section 1 hereof is at the present time
particularly suitable for the purposes and uses of C-1 , Local
Commercial District , and that such changes authorized hereby are
reasonable and in reasonable conformity with the existing uses and
value of the immediately surrounding properties .
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval . �
