AN ORDINANCE CALLING A BOND ELECTION IN THE CITY
OF CAPE GIRARDEAU , MISSOURI , ON THE QUESTION
WHETHER TO ISSUE THE SEWERAGE SYSTEM REVENUE
BONDS OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU , MISSOURI , IN
AN AMOUNT UP TO �2 ,500 ,000 , 00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PROVIDING FUNDS FOR EXTENDING, IMPROVING AND
ENLARGING THE SANITARY SEWERAGE SYSTEM OF THE
CITY ; DESIGNATING THE TIME OF HOLDING SAID
ELECTION ; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY
CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE OF SAID ELECTION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIxARDEAU ,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . That a bond Election is hereby ordered to be held
in the City of Cape Girardeau � Missouri � on Tuesday, Ncvember 6 ,
1990 , on tr,e followinq question :
QUESTION
Shall the City of Cape Girardeau , Missouri , issue
its Seweraqe System revenue bonds in an amount up to
$2 , 500 ,000 . 00 for the purpose of providing funds for
extending , improvinq and enlarginq the sanitary sewerage
system of the city ; the cost of operation and maintenance
of sai d system and the pr incipal of and int er est on sai d
r evenue bonds to be payabl e sol el y fr om the r evenues
derived by the City from the operation of its seweraqe
system includinq all future extensions and improvements
thereto?
The authorization of said bonds will authcrize the City to
fix � establish , maintain and collect rates and charges for the
services provided by the City through its seweragE system
including all extensions and improvements thereto hereafter
constructed or acquired by the City � in addition to the other
rates and charqes for sucn sErvices provided by iaw , as wiii
produce income and revenues sufficient to provide funds to pay the
costs of operation and maintenance of said seweragE system and the
principal of and interEst on said boncs as triey become due and to
retire the same wi thin twenty years from the date thereof , and to
provide for the establishment of reasonable reserves therefor .
SECTION 2 . That the form of the Notice of Bond Electicn for
said election , a copy of which is hereby attached and rr,ade a part
hereof , is hereby approved .
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk is hereby authorizEd and
directed to notify the Caunty Clerk of Cape Girardeau County ,
Missouri , cf the adoption of this ordinancE no later than 5 : 00
o ' clock P.M. on September 11 , 1990 , and to include in the
notification all of the terms and provisions required by the
Comprehensive Election Act , Chapter 115 , Missouri Revised
Statutes , as amended.
SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect ten days from
and after its passage and apprcval .

Notice is hereby given to the qualified voters of the City of
Cape Girardeau , Missouri , that the City Council of the City has
�alled an election tc be held in the City on November 6 � 1990 ,
commencing at 6 : 00 o ' clock A. M. and closing at 7 : 00 o ' clock P.M.
on the question contained in the following sample ballot :
