AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GENERAL WARRANTY DEED
FROM THE CAPE GIRARDEAU CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
FOR NORTH MAIN STREET REALIGNMENT
ARTICLE l. The City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, hereby
accepts a General Warranty Deed executed by the Cape Girardeau
Chamber of Commerce, a pro forma decree corporation, conveying to
the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, a General Warranty Deed for
the North Main Street realignment, more particularly described as
follows, to-wit:
A tract of land in Outlots 32 , 33 and 34 in U. S. Survey
2199 , Township 31 North, Range 14 East, of the Fifth
Principle Meridian, in the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at an iron pipe marking the Northwest corner
of North Main Street and Mill Street; thence North 89°
33 ' 25" East, 64 . 00 feet to the point of beginning;
thence North 45° 26' 35" West, 33 . 94 feet to a point,
said point being in the old East line of North Main
Street; thence North 0° 26' 35" West, along the old East
line of North Main Street, 716 . 00 feet to the Northwest
corner of a tract of land owned by the Cape Girardeau
Chamber of Commerce, recorded in Book 420, Page 475 in
the land records of Cape Girardeau County, Missouri, said
point also being the South line of Mason Street; thence
North 89° 33 ' 25" East, along the said South line of
Mason Street, 16 . 00 feet to a point; thence South 0° 26'
35" East, 480 . 36 feet to a curve to the left; thence
Southeasterly along said curve to the left, having a
radius of 472 . 00 feet and a length of 87 . 78 feet to a
point of tangent; thence South 11° 9' 18" East, 100 . 75
feet to a curve to the right; thence along said curve to
the right, having a radius of 528 . 00 feet and a iength of
73 . 94 feet to a point, said point being on the North line
of Mill Street; thence South 89° 33 ' 25" West, along said
North line of Mill Street, 27 . 56 feet to the place of
beginning. Containing 15, 883 square feet more or less.
ARTICLE 2 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
