AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE 1994-1995 CITY BUDGET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. In accordance with Section 6. 08 (c) of the Cape
Girardeau City Charter, the Council does hereby authorize the
transfer of unencumbered appropriation balances from the Insurance
Program for the Administrative Services Department in the amount of
Six Thousand One Hundred Four pollars ($6, 104 . 00) ; the Development
Services Department in the amount of Twelve Thousand One Hundred
Sixty-Eight Dollars ($12 , 168 . 00) ; the Public Works Department in
the amount of Seventeen Thousand Three Hundred Thirty-Nine Dollars
($17, 339 . 00) ; the Public Safety Department in the amount of Eighty
Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-Four pollars ($80, 684 . 00) ; and the
Parks and Recreation Department in the amount of Thirteen Thousand
Seven Hundred Five Dollars ($13 , 705. 00) for a total reduction in
these departmental appropriations for insurance purposes of One
Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($130, 000. 00) .
ARTICLE 2 . The amounts to be transferred from the Insurance
Programs of the Departments as set out in Article 1 above, are
hereby transferred to the Department of Development Services in the
amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20, 000. 00) for personnel; the
Public Works Department in the amount of Seventy Thousand Dollars
($70, 000. 00) for front-end loader replacement; and the Parks and
Recreation Department in the amount of Forty Thousand Dollars
($40, 000. 00) for a parks maintenance vehicle replacement in a total
amount of One Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($130, 000. 00) .
ARTICLE 3 . If any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid
or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such
portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent
provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions hereof.
ARTICLE 4 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
