AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A
SPECIAL TAX BILL FOR THE DEMOLITION OF A
DANGEROUS BUILDING UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF
CHAPTER 7 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU
WHEREAS, the Building Supervisor of the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri, issued an Order Causing A Certain Dangerous
Building to be Demolished; and
WHEREAS, the City of Cape Girardeau did cause said building to
be demolished in accordance with the Order thereby incurring
certain expenses; and
WHEREAS, the Building Supervisor authorized the issuance of a
certain tax bill;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and ordered to
place on file a Special Tax Bill issued in accordance with the
Order of the Building Supervisor which shall be a lien against the
following described property in accordance with law, until paid or
collected by the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri:
$3 , 250. 00 -- 1123 Jefferson Street. The West 75 feet of
Lot 13 , Block B, Hirsch Addition to the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri.
ARTICLE 2 . Said Tax Bill shall bear an interest rate of eight
per cent (8%) per year annum.
ARTICLE 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
