AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO HABITAT FOR HUMANITY FOR
THE LOT AT 526 SOUTH BENTON STREET.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
ARTZCLE 1 . The Mayor, for and on behalf of the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby authorized to execute a quit claim
deed with Habitat for Humanity for the lot at 526 South Benton
Street. A copy of said Quit Claim Deed is attached to this
Ordinance and made a part hereof.
ARTICLE 2 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval .

QUIT CLAIM DEED
THIS INDENTURE, Made on the day of ,
A.D. One Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety- , by and between the
CITY OF CAPE GIR.ARDEAU, MISSOURI, a Municipal Corporation, of the
County of Cape Girardeau and State of Missouri, party of the First
Part, and HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, CAPE GIRARDEAU AFFILIATE, a
Missouri Not-For-Profit Corporation, of the County of Cape
Girardeau, in the State of Missouri; party of the Second Part.
WITNESSETH, That the said parties of the First Part in
consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars ( $10 . 00 ) and other good and
valuable consideration, to them paid by the said party of the
Second Part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do by
these presents, Remise, Release and forever Quit Claim, unto said
party of the Second Part, the following described Lots, Tracts or
Parcels of land, lying, being and situate in the County of Cape
Girardeau and State of Missouri, to-wit:
Lot 9, Zapf First Subdivision, City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri .
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD THE SAME, with all the rights, immunities,
privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging, unto the said party
of the Second Part, and its successors and assigns, FOREVER, so
that neither the said party of the First Part, nor their successors
or assigns, or any other person or persons for them or in their
name or behalf, shall or will hereafter claim or demand any right
or title to the aforesaid premises or any part thereof, but they
and every one of them shall, by these presents, be excluded and
forever barred.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said party of the First Part have
hereunto set their hand the day and year first above written.

appeared A.M. Spradling, III , who, being by me duly sworn, did say
that he is the Mayor of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, a
Municipal Corporation of the State of Missouri, and that the seal
affixed to the foregoing instrument is the seal of said City and
that the said instrument was signed and sealed on behalf of said
City by authority of its City Council and acknowledged said
instrument to be the free act and deed of said City.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed
my official seal, at my office in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the day
and year first above written.
