An Ordinance authorizing and empowering the Mayor of the City of
Cape Girardeau to execute a lease to the Cape Girardeau Railway Company,
BE IT ORDAINED BY TI -M 'MAYOR AND COUNCIL OT THE CITY OF CAPE GIR.ARDFAU,
AS FOIZDWS ,
SECTION 14 The mayor of the City of Cape Girardeau is hereby authorized
and empowered to execute a lease in proper form and consideration to the
cape Qirardeau Railway Company conveying to said Company and its success.
sore the right of gray for Thirty Years, with privilege of renewal for
Thirty Years more, on Aquamei Street for the purpose of laying track or
tracks, switches, turnouts, and erecting a Depot or Depots and other
buidings necessary to carry on the Railroad business on said street and
within said City, reserving a strip of gr6und Sixty Fee=t wide between the
front part of lots in Ranges B, A, G, and I for a street; And also to inc-
lude in said lease conveying to said Company in a similar manner the right
to lay a single trach on said front or levee to the Northern part of the city
SECTION 2. The City Register is hereby required to countersign and attest
said conveyance.
SECTION 34 This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage.
