Home My WebLink AboutCommForm.88-09-09-1920COMMISSION FORM ORDINANCE NO. tT AN ORDINANCE AS6ESSING, APPORTIONING, LEVY- ING AND 'TAXING THE COSTS OF IYVROVING TNOT PART OF MAIN STREET EXTENDED ( FORMERLY KD O,N AS AqUAMS I STREET) FROM THE SOUTH CURB LINE OF INDEPENDENCE STREJT TO THE CENTER LINE OF WILLIAM STREET IN THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI. WHEREAS, the City of Cape Girardeau, by its City council on the 19th day of MAy, 1919, passed an Orainance to improve said part of yvin street extended (formerly known as Aquamsi street) from the south curb line of In- dppendenee street to the center line of 41iiiiam Street, in the Cimy of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, which Commission Form Ordinance was approved on the 19th day of May, 1919, and is numbered Commission Form Ordinance No. 44, and WHErEAS, by virtue of authority of said ordinance the city council instructs the city Clerk to advertise for proposals for said work of im- proving said part of main Street extended, as set forth in Section 1, which saki advertisement was published in the newspaper doing tine city printing, and ITMREAS, F. W. Xleller, was awarded the contract to make said improve- ment, according to the plans and specifications of the City Engineer, for the price and sum as set forth in his proposal, and accepted in payment thereof Special Tax Bills to be issued by the City of Cape Girardeau, Miss- ouri, (there not being sufficient money in the General Revenue Fund to pay therefor), in his favor as contractor against the abutting property of said part of ?Main Street extended after the completion by him of said construc- tion as provided for by Uommission norm Ordinance No. 0, being in the opin- ion of the City Council the best bid that could be had for said work, was by motion duly accepted by said City Council, and WHEREAS, said F. W. Keller entered into contract and bond for the faithful performance of his contract for constructing said part of Main street extended in accordance with the ordinances of said city of Cape Gir- ard6au, and the plans and specifications, as appears from the report of the Cij7 Engineer and the ouperintendant of Streets of said City, accepting said work of construction, which vas approved by the City Council, and WHEREAS, the City Engineer filed with the City Council his rpoEhe _ of the costs of said construction after same had been completed, amounting/ ty-ONE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED ELEVEN DOLLARS AND FOUR CENTS THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISS- OURI AS FOLLOWS: amok[ t SECTION 1.
