REAS, Couunission Form Ordinance No. 314, entitled "An Ordinance To Repeal Commission Form Ordinance No. 312, entitled, 'An Ordinance Providing For the Holding of a Special Election to Decide Upon the Proposition as to Whether or Not the City of Cape Girardeau Shall Extend Its Corporate Limits to Include Other Adjacent Territory', Passed and Approved on the 15th day of December, 1924, .And to Enact in Lieu Thereof a New Ordinance Providing For the Holding of a Special Election to Decide Upon the Proposition as to Whether or Not the City of Cape Gir- ardeau, 1issouri, Shall Extend Its Corporate Limits to Include Other Ad- jacent Territory, Directing the Mayor to Give Notice of Such Special Elec- tion by Proclamation and to Publish such Notice, Providing When Such Special Election Shall Be Held and Prescribing the Official Ballot for Such Special Election", was duly passed by the Council of the City of Cape Girardeau and approved on the 15th day of January, 1925, wherein proposed new boundaries of said city were particularly described, and wherein a special election was ordered for Tuesday, the third day of February, 1925, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of said city a prop- osition to extend the boundaries of said city as therein described, and, ITEREAS, Notice of such special election, by proclama- tion of the Mayor, was duly made and published, advising that said special election would be held in said City on the 3rd day of February, 1925, all in accordance withs aid Commission Form. Ordinance No. 314, and, VIMREAS, The said special election was held on said day in pursuance of the provisions of said Commission Form Ordinance No. 314 and the other ordinances of said city, and a majority of the voters of said city, voting at said special election, voted in favor of so extend- ing the said city limits, all as shovm by the report of a special com- mittee of the council appointed to canvass and report the vote of said special election, which report of said committee has been duly made and accepted by said council; NOW, THEREFORE, BE I^1 ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIR- ARDEAU, hII SSOURI , AS FOLLOWS : - SECTION 1. The limits of the City of Cape Girardeau, in the County of Cape Girardeau and State of Missouri, are hereby extended and e stablished so as to embrace and include all that part of the County of Cape Girardeau, in the State of Missouri, lying within the following boundary lines, to -wit: - Begin at a point in the middle of the channel of the R11ississippi River, east of the corner of Sections 17, 18, 19 and 20, in Township 30 North, Range 14 East, in the County of Cape Girardeau in the State of Missouri; thence west to the said corner of said Sections 17, 18, 19 and 20; thence west on the lane between said Sections 18 and 19 to the northwest cor- ner of Section 19 and the southwest corner of Section 18; thence continuing west on the line between. Sections 13 and 24, Township 30 North, Range 13 East, in Cape Girardeau County, !Ussouri, to the southeast corner of United States Private Sur- vey No. 812; thence north 16 degrees east along the eastern boundary line of said United States Private Survey No. 812 to the southwest corner of United States Private Survey No. 2202; thence north 16 degrees east along the western boundary line of said United States Private Survey No. 2202 to the northwest corner of said United States Private Survey No. 2202; thence westwardly along the southern boundar✓r line of United States Private Survey No® 2199 to a point intersected by the exten- sion of the west boundary line of outlot No. 53 of said United States Private Survey No. 2199; thence in a northerly direction on a straight line to the southwest corner of said outlot No. 53 of said United States Private Survey No. 2199; thence in a northerly direction along the west boundary line of outlot No. 53 to the corner of outlots 44, 53, 54 and 55; thence westwardly along the south boundary line of outlot No. 55 to a point intersected by the extension of the west bound- ary line of outlot No. 56, United States Private Survey ITo. 2199; thence northwardly on a straight line to the southwest corner of said outlot No. 56; thence.northwardly along the western boundary line of outlots 56, 57, 58, 59 and 60 to the northwest corner of said outlot No. 60; thence contin- uing northwardly on the extension of the western boundary line of Outlot No. 60 to its point of intersection with the north boundary line of United States Private Survey No. 2199; thence in a southeastwardly direction along the north line of United States Private Survey No. 2199 to the center of the Rig Bend Road; thence in a northwesterly direction along the cen- ter line of the wig Bend Road to the intersection of the cen- ter line of Country Club Drive of the St. Vincent's Park Ad- dition;4-thence along the center line of Country Club Drive to the intersection of the cen"ter line of Capaha Trail; thence north 81 degrees and 46 minutes east, 508.7 feet;- thence north 35 degrees and 19 minutes east, 102 feet; -thence north 77 degrees and 48 minutes east 150 feet;,thence north 83 de- grees and 14 minutes east, 407 feet; thence south 84 degrees and 16 minutes east, 65 feet; thence south 52 degrees and 52 minutes east, 80 feet; thence north 89 degrees and 22 minutes east, 120 feet; thence south 81 degrees and 45 minutes east, 82 feet; thence north 76 degrees and 25 minutes east, 150 feet, to a point in the vilest right of way line of the St. Louis -San Francisco Railu y; thence east to the center of the channel of the Mississippi River; thence southwardly along the center line of the channel of the Mississippi River to the place of beginning. SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances con- flicting with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
