BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City cf gape

SECTION l: That portion 4,f dasher Street in the City of
Cane Girardeau., Missouri, from the south ed,, -re of the existing
pavement on Dorgan Oak Street tcthe north edge of the existing
pavement at the Syur Track crossing, the same
being within. District No. 4 in the City of Cape Jirar. dean, 1 --is otal
as laid out and dezignated, by Commission Fora. Ord-inance No. 800,
passed sna approved on the. 3rd daY of Jelly, 1937, shall be
rerairc.d :;nd resurfaced in accordance v%ith said Commission Form
Ordinance No. 800, and is hiereOy de_i nates as Project No. 5,
in said District No. 4.
SECTION 1: The road way of said street shall lee repaired
and resurfaced. 1;y reshaping and grading the existing gravel
base thereon and installing on the base ae shaped and r ep.ai_ ed,
an asphaltic concrete pavement 'u feet in width and rot xess
than. I inches in thickness.
SE!CTIC17 Said repairing and resurfacing of said street
shall be done by the Street Department of the City of Cape
Girardeau, 1111i6s^uri, under the !direction and supervision of the
City Engineer so that the cost of such',, repairingT and resurfacing
shall not exceed an amount scum to 60 cents per front foot of

SECTICY 5: Upon the com-pletion of said work the said
Engineer shall report to the Counc i l the total cost of said
repairing and resurfacing on said portion of said street, the
total number of linear feet of property fronting and abutting
thereon am' the proportionate share of such total cost charge-
able against each lot, tract and parcel of land fronting or
abutting on said portion: of ;aid atreet in accordance with the
pr o viaicns of th�ordinance.
SECTI01d 6: Upon the filing of such report by the City
Engineer, the City Council shall examine the sane and if said
report be found to be correct and the total oost of said re-
pairing and resurfacing does not exceed 60 cents per front foot
on all of the property fronting anu abutting u1131on said portion
Of said street, the Council shall levy and assess a special tax
against said property in accordance with said report.
SECTICIT ?: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict Thitl, the Drovisions hereof are hereby repealed.
SECTIOIa 3: This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from, and after ten: days after its passage.
