AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING DEED FROM JOSEPH R. RITTER
TO CERTAIN LAND IN LOT SIXTEEN OF MARGARET
WALKER'S SUBDIVISION OF OUTLOT SIXTY, IN U. S.
PRIVATE SURVEY NO. 2199, FOR STREET PURPOSES, AND
NAMING A CERTAIN STREET IN SAID LOT SIXTEEN OF
MARGARET WALKER'S SUBDIVISION OF OUTLOT SIXTY OF
U. S. PRIVATE SURVEY NO. 2199, "RITTER DRIVE."
WHEREAS, Joseph E. Ritter has conveyed by quit -claim deed
dated June 25, 1954, to the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, for
street purposes only, the following described real estate situate
in the County of Cape Girardeau, City of Cape Girardeau, and State
of Missouri, to -wit:
Part of Lot 16 of Margaret Walker's Subdivision
of Outlot 60 in U. S. Private Survey No. 2199,
described as follows; Commence at the southeast
corner of Lot 16; thence north along the east line
of Lot 167 285 feet; thence west parallel to the
south line of Lot 16, 5 feet to the west line of
Caruthers Avenue, for a point of beginning; thence
west parallel to the south line of Lot 16, 392.2
feet; thence south parallel to Caruthers Avenue,
285 feet to the northeast corner of Lot 11, Block 31
of Krueger's Subdivision; thence west along the
north line of Lot 11, 50 feet to the northwest corner
of Lot 11; thence north parallel to Caruthers Avenue,
335 feet; thence east parallel to the south lirm bf
Lot 101 Walker's Subdivision, 442.2 feet to the west
line of Caruthers Avenue; thence south along the
west line of Caruthers Avenue, 50 feet to the point
of beginning;
and,
''WHEREAS, the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, desires to
accept said quit -claim deed and have the same recorded; and
WHEREAS, the grantor of said land has requested that the
street extending 442.2 feet east from the west line of Caruthers
Avenue be named "Ritter Drive," NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City of Cape Girardeau accept, and it
does hereby accept, a quit -claim deed, dated June 25, 1954, for
street purposes only, from Joseph E. 'Ritter to the following
described real estate situate in the County of Cape Girardeau,
City of Cape Girardeau, and State of Missouri, to -wit:
Part of Lot 16 of Margaret Walker's Subdivision of
Outlot 60 in U. S. Private Survey No. 2199,
described as follows: Commence at the southeast
corner of Lot 16; thence north along the east line

of Lot 16, 285 feet; thence west parallel to the
south line of Lot 16, 5 -feet to the west line of
Caruthers Avenue, for a point of beginning; thence
west parallel to the south line of Lot 10, 392.2
feet; thence south parallel to Caruthers Avenue,
285 feet to the northeast corner of Lot 11,
Block 3, of Kruegerts Subdivision; thence west
along the north line of Lot 112 50 feet to the
northwest corner of Lot 11; thence north parallel
to Caruthers Avenue, 335 meet; thence east parallel
to the south line of Lot 16, walkerts Subdivision,
4L;2.2 feet to the west line of Caruthers Avenue;
thence south along the ;,*est line of Caruthers Avenue,
50 feet to the point of beginning,
and that said deed be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Deeds of Cape Girardeau Cotnty, Missouri.
SECTION 2: That the 50 foot strip of land included in
said deed and extending west 442.2 feet from the west line of
Caruthers Avenue be named "Ritter Drive."
