AN ORDINANCE AMENDING COMMISSION FORM ORDINANCE NO.
566, PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 25TH DAY OF APRIL,
1929, REZONING A TRACT OF LAND FROM AN "A" ONE -FAMILY
DISTRICT TO AN "E" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and declares that the
property described below is suitable to the uses authorized. in Commercial
Districts, and,
WHEREAS, the Council further finds that public notice has been
given of the proposed changes and amendments contained in this Ordinance
fifteen (15) days in the Southeast Missourian, a newspaper of general
circulation, published in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and that
a hearing has been held thereon, before the City Planning and Zoning
Commission for its recommendation and report, and the said Commission
filed the same rezommending that the property be rezoned to Commercial
purposes, and, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 2 of Commission Form Ordinance No.
566, passed and approved on the 25th day of April, 1929, shall be and
the same is hereby amended to change from "A" One -Family District to
the "E" Commercial District the following described property, to -wit:
All of Lot 5 and East 41.15 feet of Lot 4 all in
Block 1 of Krueger's Subdivision of Lots 4, 5 and 6
of Walker's Subdivision. The width of these lots
are approximately 108 feet on Broadway and 150 feet
in depth. Also, the Lot East of the Medical Build-
ing and due West of the Broadway Prescription Shop
at 1900 Broadway having a frontage on Broadway of
approximately 60 feet and depth of 150 feet. It is
outlot 60 of Walkerts Subdivision.
SECTION 2. A1.1 Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with the provisions hereof are hereby repealed, but the provisions of
Commission Form Ordinance No. 566 above referred to, which are not
amended or changed hereby, shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after ten (10) days after its passage and approval.
