SECTION 1; That portion of Giboney nven e., as said Giboney
Avenue existed and was shoran on the plat of G-iboney Houck's Fifth
Subdivision in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, from the west
right of vn''ay line of Giboney Avenue as it now exists, and as -LZ was
conveyed to the 'City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri by quit claim deed
froom. � e�� aG. Houck dated "november 23, 1940, arta recorded at
Book 107, Rage 620 in the Land Records of Cape Girardeau County,
:.issouri=to the west line of Giboney Avenue as et existed and was
shown on the Plat of Giboney Houck's Fifth Subdivision. except for
a th r'ty foot Strip for the ex tension of South Fort Street from its
present terminus to the east line of G'boney Avenue as it now
exists, shall be and is hereby vacated as a public street.
SECT T ON 2k The 1,11ayor of the City is hereby authorized to
execute and deliver to the owners of property abutting on the Nest
side of said Giboney Avenue as originally delicate~", quit claim
deeds for the portion of such vacated street abutting on their
several properties, provided that the execution and delivery and
recording of such quit claim deeds shall be at the expense of such
abutting pro -per ty owners and without cost to the city.
SPCTTO�.�s 3:, This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after ten days after its passage and approval.
