AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE QUI^1 CLAIM DEED OF LAMBERT C. DRURY AND LORRAIINE V.
DRURY, HUSBAND AND WIFE, FOR PARCELS OF LAUD IN OUTLOT 75, IN U. S. P. SURVEY NO.
2199, FOR THE M..CM\TSION OF HOUJELL STREET AND MARIETTA LANE, IN THE CITY OF CAPE
GLUM EAU., MISSOURI.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CI1TY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Quit Claim Deed, signed by Lambert C. Drury and Lorraine
V. Drury, husband and wife, dated August 21, 1956, and acknowledged by notary public,
i,fnich conveys to the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, certain parcels of land, being
part of Outlot 75, in U. S. P. Survey No. 2199, in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
described as follows:
Begin at a point where the south line of Marietta Lane intersects the east line
of Outlot 75; thence in a westerly direction with an extension of the south line of
Iiarietta Lane to a point on the northerly extension of the east line of Nowell Street
in Alarnza Heights; thence in a southerly direction with the extension of the east line
of Howell Street to the northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 4. of Alanna Heights; thence in
a westerly direction 50 feet to the northeast corner of Lot 13 Block 5, Alarna Heights,
thence in a northerly direction with the extension of the west line of Howell Street to
a point on the southerly extension of the west line of Howell Street, as now located
from Cape Rock Drive, south; thence in a northerly direction with said southerly
extension of the west line of Howell Street to a point where the said west line is
intersected by the westerly- ectensicn of the south line of Lot No. 7, of the Ellis
Subdivision; thence in an easterly direction with said extension of the south line of
Lot 7, 52 feet; thence in a southerly direction on a line that is 50 feet east of
(measured normally) and parallel to the southerly extension of the west line of Howell
Street to its intersection with a line that is 50 feet north of (measured normally)
and parallel to the westerly extension of the south line of Marietta Lane; thence in an
easterly direction with said line to the east line of Outlot 75; thence in a southerly
direction with said east line 50 feet to the point of beginning. The land hereby
conveyed is for the purpose of extending Marietta Lane and connecting Howell Street,
as same now exists, be and the same is hereby approved and accepted by the City of
Cape Girardeau, Kissouri, and same shall be known as "Hoimll Street" and llhia.rietta
Lane".
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to have
said Quit Claim Deed recorded in the land records of Cape Girardeau County, Missouri.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and
after the effective date following its passage and approval.
