AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF THE GENERAL
ORDINANCES OF CAPE GIRARDEAU BY CHANGING THE
ZONING OF LOT 25, PART LOT 26, AND OTHER PORTIONS
OF RANGE F TO CLASS E, COMMERCIAL DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recom-
mended that all of the property described in Section 1 of this ordinance should
be rezoned to Class E, Commercial District., and
WHEREAS, Public notice. of such proposed change in zoning was
given as prescribed by Chapter 25 of the General Ordinances of Cape Girar-
deau and public hearing was held in conformity with such notice by the City
Council on the 7th day of December, 1964; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, as follows;
Section 1. Chapter 25 of the General Ordinances of Cape Girar-
deau is hereby amended to change the boundary of the present Class E,
Commercial District, so as to include the following described property:
All of Lot 25, Range F presently held by Mr. Shaltupsky
Gest 45 feet), Mrs. Othella Mathenia (the Northeast
portion: fronting 64 feet on Frederick Street by 75 feet in
depth); and Tames E. Finley and wife (the Southeast por-
tion fronting 75 feet on Bellevue Street by 63 feet on
Frederick Street; and 60 feet by l27 feet adjoining
Shaltupsky on the east).
Also the south part of Lot 26, Range F, fronting 50 feet
on Frederick Street (180; feet in depth) owned by Masters,
and the south part of Lot 27, Range F, fronting 50 feet
on Frederick Street, owned by Frances Turner.
Zoning change to include all territory from first alley
west of Frederick, north to southline of North Street,
east to the river and bounded on the south by Bellevue
Street..
Section Z. The City Council hereby finds and declares that the
property described in Section 1 hereof is at the present time particularly
suitable for the uses and purposes of Class E, Commercial District, and

that such change authorized hereby is reasonable and in reasonable conformity
with the existing uses and value of the immediately surrounding property.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten
days after its passage and approval.
