HomeMy WebLinkAboutCityMgrForm.155.07-19-1967CITY MANAGER FORM ORDINANCE NO. {� AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART OF CAPE MEADOWS SUBDIVISION TO CLASS B, TWO-FAMILY DWELLING AND TO CLASS C, APARTMENT DISTRICT WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that all of the property described in Section 1 of this ordinance should be rezoned to Class B, Two -Family Dwelling District and has recommended that all of the property described in Section 2 of this ordinance should be rezoned to Class C, Apartment District, and WHEREAS, public notice of such change in zoning was given as prescribed by Chapter 25 of the general ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, and public hearing was held in conformity with such notice on May 23, 1967, and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Cape Girardeau has elected to rezone a portion of the property described hereinafter to Class B, Two -Family Dwelling District, and another portion to Class C, Apartment District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, as follows: SECTION 1. Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau is hereby amended to change the boundary of the present Class B, Two -Family residential district so as to include the following described property: Lots 9, 10 and 11, Block 2, Lots 9, 10 and 11, Block 3, Lots 14, 15, 16 and 17, 'Block 4, of Cape Meadows, a subdivision in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. SECTION 2. Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau is hereby amended to change the boundary of the present Class C, Apartment District, so as to include the following described property: - page two - Lot 18, Block 4 and all of Block 5 of Cape Meadows, a subdivision of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. SECTION 3. The City Council hereby finds and declares that the property described in Section 1 hereof is at the present time particularly suitable for the uses and purposes of Class B, Two -Family Residential District, and that the property described in Section 2 hereof is at the present time particularly suitable for the uses and purposes of Class C, Apartment District, and that such changes authorized hereby are reasonable and in reasonable conformity with the existing uses and value of the immediately surrounding properties. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten days after its passage and approval. Passed and approved this 19th day of July, 1967. I YO �..-- ATYST: City Clerk
