AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING EASEMENT FOR FAN MARKER
FOR AIRPORT FROM MR. AND MRS, ROSCOE DUNCAN
WHEREAS, it has been deemed necessary to obtain navigational
devices for the Cape Girardeau Municipal Airport, known as 75 megacycle
fan markers, and in order to obtain and install such fan markers it is
necessary to have .an easement from private owners of real estate in Scott
County, south of the Municipal Airport, which real estate is owned by Mr.
and Mrs. Roscoe Duncan, and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs, Roscoe Duncan have agreed to grant an
easement to the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, for the purpose of install-
ing such fan marker and setting poles for electric power to such fan marker
in return for the consideration of $250. 00,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, as follows;
SECTION L The City of Cape Girardeau accepts a Grant of Easement
from Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Duncan, of Scott County, Missouri, for the purpose
of establishing poles, stringing wires and setting a 75 megacycle fan marker
in order to aid aircraft in navigational approaches and take -offs to and from
the Municipal Airport,
SECTION 2. The Mayor and Clerk of the City of Cape Girardeau are
directed to execute the necessary documents to accept such Easement and to
pay Mr, and Mrs. Roscoe Duncan the sum of $2500 00 consideration for obtaining
such easement,
SECTION 3, This ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten days
after its passage and approval.
