AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 35. 02 OF THE GENERAL
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAFE GIRARDEAU AND
COMMISSION FORM ORDINANCE NO 2102 RELATING TO
MOTOR VEHICLE LICENSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, as follows:
SECTION 1. Commission Form Ordinance No.. 2102 and Section
35. 02 of the General Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau are hereby
amended by repealing subsection (g) and adding a new subsection (g), as
follows:
(g) The license fee provided in Section 35. 02 shall become
delinquent on March lst of each year.. Each person who is required to secure
such license and fails to do so by March lst, shall pay in addition to the amount
provided in Section 35. 02 (a), the further sum, of $1. 00 for each month or
fraction thereof that such delinquency continues.
SECTION 2. Section 35. 02, Section (b) of the General Ordinances
of the City of Cape Girardeau, which provides that "licenses --= shall be
payable on February lst of each year --- Licenses must be purchased by
March 15 ---"'is hereby amended and March lst is substituted for February
1st and March 15th ofsaid section (b).
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten
days after its passage and approval.
