AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF ORD11`4ANCES
OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, BY CHANGING THE
ZONING OF PART OF BLOCKS 1,`2, 4, 5, 6,,7, IN CRITES 3RD
ADDITION, IN THE CITY AND COUNTY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, STATE
OF MISSOURI, FROM C-2 TO R-3
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission
has recommended that all of the property described in Section 1
of this Ordinance should be rezoned from C-2 General Commercial
District to R-3 Two -Family Dwelling District;. and
WHEREAS, Public Notice of such change was given as
prescribed in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri,.and public hearing was held
on Wednesday, August 5, 1970; and,
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, has elected to rezone the property described in
Section 1 from C-2 General Commercial District to R-3
Two -Family Dwelling District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby amended to
change the boundary of the present R-.3 Two -Family Dwelling
District so as to include the following described property:
Lots 4 thru 26, Block 'l; Lots 1 thru 13, Block 2;
Lots 1 thru 8, Block, 4; Lots 1 thru 10, Block 5;
Lots l thru 4, Block 6; and Lots 1 thru 4, Block 7
in Crites 3rd Addition.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and declares
that the property described in Section 1 hereof is at the
present time particularly suitable for the purposes and uses
of R-3 Two -Family Dwelling District, and that such changes
authorized hereby are reasonable and in reasonable conformity
with the existing uses and value of the immediately surrounding
properties.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect ten (10) days after its passage and approval.
