AN ORDINANCE ENACTING A NEW SECTION 26-125 AND SCHEDULE "Q" OF
SECTION 26-125 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, RELATING TO RESTRICTED PARKING, AT THE CAPE
GIRARDEAU MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. A new Section 26-125(a) of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby created and
enacted, to read as follows:
"Sec. 26-125(a). Restricted Parking At the
Municipal Airport.
No person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle at the
Cape Girardeau Municipal Airport Parking Lot except in the
rows of parking lanes designated by Schedule %", adopted
and incorporated by reference, nor shall anyone stop, stand
or park a vehicle in any parking lane unless such use is
consistent with the restrictions described in Schedule %",
nor shall anyone stop, stand or park a vehicle in a public
limited -time parking lane for a period of time in excess of
that authorized by Schedule %". Violation of this Ordinance
will result in immediate towing and storage of the subject
vehicle in addition to the ordinary penalties assessed for
ordinance violations."
SECTION 2. A new Section 26-125(b) of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby created and
enacted, to read as follows:
"Sec. 26-125(b)
The police department is hereby authorized and directed
to designate the "Restricted Parking" zones by painted
lanes, signs or appropriate means."
SECTION 3. A new Schedule "Q" of Section 26-125(a) of the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is
hereby created and enacted, to read as follows:
SCHEDULE Q, 26-125(a)
At the Cape Girardeau Municipal Airport Parking Lot, starting
at the southernmost row of parking lanes, and moving in a
Northwardly direction, parking shall be designated and
restricted for use as follows:
Row 1. Cape Central Customer Parking
Row 2. The Westernmost six (6) spaces, Hertz Rental Car
Parking, the remaining spaces Two -Hour Public
Parking.
Row 3. The Westernmost six (6) spaces, National Rental
Car Parking, the remaining spaces Two -Hour Public
Parking.
Row 4, 5, 6, 7, Two -Hour Public Parking.
Row 8, 9, Long Term and Over Night Public Parking.
Row 10, 11, 12, 13, Employee Parking.
Row 14. Car Rental Parking.
SECTION 4. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid
or unconstitutional by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such
portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent
provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions hereof.
SECTION 5. All prior ordinances or portions thereof which
are contrary to or inconsistent with the provisions of this
ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of the contradiction
or inconsistency.
SECTION 6. It is the intention of the governing body and it
is hereby ordained that the provisions of this ordinance shall
become and be made a part of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and the sections of this Code may be
renumbered to accomplish such intention.
SECTION 7. Sections 26-126 through and including 26-133 of
the Code of Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
are hereby reserved.
SECTION 8. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
