AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A QUIT CLAIM DEED OF A PART OF OUTLOT 81
AND 87 AND PART OF THE RODNEY 400 ARPEN TRACT IN U. S. P. S.
2199, TOWNSHIP 30 N., RANGE 13 E., IN THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, FOR THE EXTENSION OF BROADVIEW STREET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That a quit claim deed dated the 4th day of
April, 1979, and signed by Charles F. Blattner, Joyce E. Blattner,
Charlotte Blattner Sherfield, Lester I. Sherfield, Donald K.
Blattner, Constance R. Blattner, Robert C. Blattner, Erlene
Blattner, Paul E. Blattner, Marion E. Blattner, Barbara Blattner
Schaffner, David Schaffner, L. C. Blattner, Jr., Norma Blattner,
Marie Blattner Richmond, a/k/a Eleanor B. Richmond, and Irvin J.
Richmond, and Irvin J. Richmond and Farmers and Merchants Bank of
Cape Girardeau, Trustees of the Eleanor B. Richmond Voluntary
Trust Agreement of November 7, 1975, and Jean Blattner Henry and
Harry Henry, duly acknowledged before a notary public which
conveys to the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, for street
purposes the following parcel of land, to -wit:
Part of Outlot No. 81 and 87, and part of the Rodney
400 Arpen Tract, U.S. Private Survey No. 2199, Township 30
North, Range 13 E., City and County of Cape Girardeau, State
of Missouri, described as follows:
Start at the northeast corner of said Outlot No. 87;
thence N. 85° 34' W., along the line dividing Outlots No. 81
and 87, 754.4 feet to the intersection of said Outlot line
and the west line of Highway Route No. 61, marked by a
concrete right of way marker; -thence S. 10° 54' W., with
said west line of Highway Route 61, 498.0 feet to the north
line of Missouri Highway Route K; thence with the following
courses and distances with the north line of said Route K,
S. 890 34' W., 468.82 feet; thence N. 86° 20' W., 229.6 feet
to the center of Cape LaCroix Creek; thence N. 3° 40' E.,
with Cape LaCroix Creek, 15.0 feet; thence continue with
said north line of said Route K, N. 860 20' W., 160.0 feet;
thence N. 78° 56' W., 116.97 feet; thence S. 83° 52' W.,
183.63 feet; thence S. 87° 09' W., 84.86 feet to the point
of beginning; thence leaving the north line of said Route K,
N. 3- 40' E., 1221.19 feet to the south line of Independence
Street; thence N. 840 06' W., with said south line, 60.05
feet; thence S. 30 40' W., 1230.38 feet to the north line of
said Route K; thence N. 87° 09' E., 60.39 feet to the point
of beginning and containing 1.6884 acres.
is hereby accepted and the City Clerk is instructed to have said
deed recorded in the land records for Cape Girardeau County,
Missouri.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and affect
ten days after its passage and approval.

Enclosed please find a Quit Claim Deed from Charles F. Blattner, et all for
the right—of—way of Broadview Street from Independence Street to Route Kt the
improvement plans for which the Council accepted earlier, and a form ordinance
for accepting.same.
The improvements of Broadview sewers, Broadview Street and the associated
storm sewers have been completed generally in accordance with approved plans.
I recommend that the Quit Claim Deed for the Broadview Street right—of—way
and the above stated improvements be accepted by the City.
